How do you remove Mothball smell?
 

I got an Italian Army Blanket ---Real good wool blanket , Larger than GI which is great for Tall guys.

This thing smells like Moth Balls so how to remove that smell is my question.

I left mine outside for a week hanging over the deck then washed and dried it. No more mothball smell.

I am afarid to wash it. It seems like its 100% wool and may get damaged.\

Mine are german army blankets. I washed them in the machine on gentile and used the lowest setting on the dryer. No damage that I can tell.

Have it dry cleaned.

I have always had good results with Renuzit Fabric Refresher along with hanging things outside on the line for a day or two.
